Our skin's natural exfoliation process, known as skin cell turnover, is a fascinating journey from the depths of your epidermis to its outer layer, where old cells gracefully flake away. This cycle typically spans around 4️⃣ weeks:
For about 14 days, fresh skin cells are born and migrate through your epidermal layers, a process known as cell renewal.
Then, over the next 14 days, enzymes in your skin work diligently to dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells, allowing them to shed away, a crucial step called exfoliation.
However, this process can slow with age or certain skin conditions. Luckily, skincare ingredients and products can help revitalize it:
✔️Retinoids (like retinol) can assist with cell renewal but aren't direct exfoliants.
✔️AHAs (glycolic acid & lactic acid) and BHAs (salicylic acid) are chemical exfoliants that promote smoother, brighter skin.
✔️Enzyme exfoliation, such as pumpkin enzyme, gently dissolves dead skin cells without abrasion.
✔️Physical exfoliation methods like microdermabrasion or scrubs provide manual removal of dead skin cells.
By understanding and supporting your skin's natural renewal process, you can achieve a radiant, healthy complexion! ✨

Lash Enhancement "Baby Eyeliner" -immediately after treatment
This is my favorite style of permanent liner! It is simple yet
dramatic. Once healed, it will seamlessly blend into her lash
line and look soft and natural.
The "Baby Eyeliner" technique involves adding pigment along the lash line to create the illusion of fuller, darker lashes. This style is perfect for those looking for a more defined eye without the daily hassle of applying eyeliner.

“Keep your food for your plate, not your face!" might sound odd, but it's golden advice in the world of skincare. 🍽✨ While natural ingredients are the heart of many products, not all DIYs belong on your skin.
Your skin and overall health will thank you more for devouring those fantastic ingredients rather than slathering them on your face!
Ready to explore products that truly nourish your skin without the kitchen experiments? Book a facial or consultation with me. And if you found this tip helpful, don't forget to like, save, or share! 🌿
