What is Plasma Pen Skin Tightening
Have you heard of this amazing new treatment? Plasma Pen treatments have been used in Europe for quite a few years as a safe and effective way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and tighten loose, saggy skin. You must be wondering by now, how does Plasma Pen work? Treatments are done with a hand held device that converts a direct current into an electrostatic pulse which is transmitted to the sterile disposable applicator. With correct distance from the skin, an oxygen-nitrogen mixture plus the electrostatic pulse create a plasma flash or “plasma spark”. This spark creates a response in the skin leading to collagen production and the subsequent rejuvenating effect. Specific “patterns” are used to reduce the loose skin being treated and an instant contraction and tightening of skin fibers take place. Simple right?
I really do feel education is key when talking to my clients about the benefits of Plasma Pen treatments. Consultations and patch testing is mandatory before proceeding with a treatment plan. Although Plasma Pen treatments deliver outstanding results, each person will respond differently depending on the laxity of the area being treated.
